Habsheim

Habsheim is a small town in the Haut-Rhin department of Alsace, located a few kilometres south of Mulhouse. The village retains a traditional Alsatian character, with typical half-timbered houses and a parish church, Saint-Léger, reflecting its long history. Habsheim is also known for its aerodrome, used for leisure aviation and linked to the local history of flight. The town's convenient location makes it easy to reach Mulhouse, a significant economic and cultural hub in southern Alsace known for its technical and industrial museums, as well as the Écomusée d'Alsace in Ungersheim, which recreates traditional Alsatian village life. The region's semi-continental climate brings warm summers and cool winters, well suited to outdoor pursuits such as walking and cycling along the surrounding trails. Habsheim's surroundings also provide easy access to the Alsace wine route further north, along with the nearby Swiss and German borders, making it a practical base for exploring this cross-border corner of Alsace.
