Stetten

Stetten is a small village in the Haut-Rhin department of Alsace, located in the Sundgau region, just a few kilometres from Altkirch and not far from the Swiss border. This gently rolling landscape, dotted with ponds and woodland, is typical of the Sundgau area, known for its tranquillity and unspoilt countryside. Traditional half-timbered houses and surrounding farms reflect the region's characteristic Alsatian architecture. The area is well suited to walking and cycling, with paths connecting nearby villages and easy access to Altkirch, a small historic town offering local shops and amenities. The Sundgau is also known for its local cuisine, particularly fried carp, a speciality served in several inns throughout the region. The proximity of Mulhouse and Basel makes it easy to reach larger urban centres while still enjoying a peaceful, green setting.
