Joue sur erdre

Joué-sur-Erdre is a rural village in the Loire-Atlantique department, in the Pays de la Loire region, roughly nineteen miles north of Nantes. Part of the Erdre et Gesvres community of communes, it sits amid the typical bocage countryside of this part of the department. The village is best known for the Étang de la Provostière, a landscaped lake with a supervised beach in summer, offering swimming, pedal boats and fishing, making it a popular local spot for family days out. The surrounding countryside also features walking trails and cycle paths that wind through fields and small streams feeding into the Erdre basin. The climate is oceanic, with mild summers and gentle winters, well suited to outdoor breaks for much of the year. Joué-sur-Erdre makes a peaceful base for exploring the northern part of the department while remaining within easy reach of Nantes and its wider urban area, around a thirty-minute drive away.
