Saffre

Saffre is a rural commune in the Loire-Atlantique department, in the Pays de la Loire region, located around thirty kilometres north of Nantes. It lies within the Pays de la Mée area, close to the Forêt du Gâvre, one of the largest state-owned forests in western France, popular for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. The village retains the typical character of the Nantes countryside, with farmland, hedgerows and quiet country lanes well suited to cycling.
