Plesse

Plessé is a village in the Loire-Atlantique department, in western France, close to the Brière Regional Nature Park and not far from Nantes and Redon. This rural area, characterised by hedgerow farmland and the wetlands typical of the Brière region, offers a peaceful, green setting ideal for walking and exploring the surrounding countryside. The village retains an authentic character, with traditional Breton-style architecture and landscapes typical of the Nantes countryside, including meadows, ponds and small waterways. The surrounding area is well suited to outdoor activities such as walking and cycling, particularly along rural paths and near the Nantes–Brest canal, which runs through the area. Plessé also serves as a convenient base for visiting the Brière Regional Nature Park, known for its marshland, wildlife and plant life, as well as for exploring nearby towns such as Nantes, Redon and Nozay. The region enjoys a mild oceanic climate, with temperate summers and relatively gentle winters, typical of the Loire-Atlantique département.
