Prefailles

Préfailles is a small seaside town in the Loire-Atlantique department, located at the tip of the Pays de Retz, between Pornic and Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef. The village is known for its rugged coastline, featuring cliffs and the Pointe Saint-Gildas headland, which offers sweeping views over the Loire estuary and the neighbouring coast as far as Saint-Nazaire. A coastal footpath runs along the sea, passing coves, rocky outcrops and small beaches such as Plage de la Source and Port Royal, popular for swimming and shellfish gathering at low tide.
