Fixin

Fixin is a wine-producing village in the Côte-d'Or department of Burgundy, located on the Côte de Nuits, a few kilometres south of Dijon and north of Gevrey-Chambertin. The village is known for its Fixin AOC appellation, producing mainly red Pinot Noir wines valued by enthusiasts of Burgundy's great crus. Noisot Park, laid out in the 19th century, houses the statue known as the Réveil de Napoléon, created by sculptor François Rude, and offers a pleasant wooded setting for walks alongside historical remains. The Saint-Antoine church, at the heart of the village, reflects the area's religious heritage. Fixin lies along the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne, a touring route linking the region's principal wine villages, ideal for exploring local estates and cellars. The surrounding countryside, with its vine-covered slopes and quiet lanes, provides the peaceful setting typical of Burgundy's wine country. Its proximity to Dijon also gives easy access to shops, Burgundian gastronomy and the cultural amenities of the regional capital, while retaining the calm and authenticity of a rural village.
