Pralon

Pralon is a small rural village in the Côte-d'Or department, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, located around thirty kilometres west of Dijon. This quiet hamlet sits within the typical rolling countryside of inland Burgundy, amid limestone plateaus, woodland and meadows given over to mixed farming and livestock. The nearby Burgundy Canal and the Ouche valley provide an ideal setting for walking and cycling, well away from urban bustle. The surrounding area, with small villages such as Sombernon and Bligny-sur-Ouche, offers a glimpse of authentic rural Burgundy, less touristy than the famous wine-growing Côte but equally representative of the region's character. Dijon, close by, makes an excellent base for exploring the area's historic and gastronomic heritage, from mustard and gingerbread to Burgundy wines.
