Couchey

Couchey is a wine-growing village in the Côte-d'Or department of Burgundy, set at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, just a few kilometres south of Dijon. The village lies between the plain and the first slopes that support the renowned vineyards of this part of the Burgundy wine region, close to prestigious appellations such as Gevrey-Chambertin and Fixin. Winemaking is central to local life, with several family-run estates offering tastings and direct sales. The landscape, typical of the Côte-de-Nuits, combines stone walls, paths running between vine rows and quiet hamlets, making it a pleasant setting for walks or cycling along the greenway linking Dijon to the Hospices de Beaune.
