Chailly sur armancon

Chailly-sur-Armançon is a small rural village in the Côte-d'Or department, in Burgundy, set within the Armançon valley from which it takes its name. The surrounding landscape features wooded hills, meadows and farmland typical of this part of the Auxois region, close to the A6 motorway, which provides easy access to Dijon, Beaune and Paris. The area lies just a few kilometres from historic towns such as Semur-en-Auxois, known for its medieval architecture, and Montbard, birthplace of the naturalist Buffon. The Burgundy Canal, which runs alongside part of the valley, offers scenic walking and cycling routes popular with nature enthusiasts.
