Fleurey sur ouche

Fleurey-sur-Ouche is a village in the Côte-d'Or department of Burgundy, set in the Ouche valley about fifteen kilometres west of Dijon. The commune is crossed by the River Ouche and the Canal de Bourgogne, whose towpath provides a pleasant setting for walking and cycling. The surrounding landscape, with its wooded hills and meadows, reflects the typical rural character of this part of Burgundy. Its proximity to Dijon offers easy access to the historic heart of the Burgundian capital, along with its museums and UNESCO World Heritage-listed city centre. The wider region is also well known for its vineyards, including those of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, as well as for its regional cuisine, featuring dishes such as beef bourguignon, snails and Dijon mustard. The climate is moderately continental, with warm summers and cool winters, making outdoor activities enjoyable for much of the year.
