Premeaux prissey

Prémeaux-Prissey is a small wine-growing village in the Côte de Nuits area of Burgundy, just a few kilometres south of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The commune is well known in wine circles for its classified vineyard sites within the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, including the Clos de la Maréchale, Clos des Corvées and Clos Arlot, reflecting a long winemaking tradition partly inherited from the region's former monastic presence. The landscape is typical of the Côte de Nuits, with neatly terraced vineyards, stone walls and quiet lanes winding between the plots. The village itself remains unassuming and peaceful, offering an authentic rural setting for exploring Burgundy's wine heritage away from the busier tourist routes. Nearby Nuits-Saint-Georges provides easy access to shops, restaurants and wine-tasting cellars, while Dijon and Beaune, roughly thirty minutes away, add further cultural and culinary interest to a stay here. The area enjoys a semi-continental climate, with warm summers well suited to cycling along the wine route and autumns marked by the grape harvest.
