Etrochey

Etrochey is a small rural village in the Côte-d'Or department, located in the Châtillonnais area, in northern Burgundy. This gently rolling landscape, crossed by the upper reaches of the Seine, is characterised by extensive woodlands, meadows and a peaceful agricultural setting typical of the Burgundian countryside. The village lies close to Châtillon-sur-Seine, which offers shops, services and the region's historical heritage, including an archaeological museum reflecting the area's Gallic past. The Châtillonnais area is also known for its vineyards, producing still wines and Crémant de Bourgogne, as well as for its network of walking trails and cycling routes that wind through the valley and surrounding forests. The semi-continental climate brings mild summers and cool winters, well suited to outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountain biking and fishing.
