Epoisses

Époisses is a rural village in the Côte-d'Or department of Burgundy, best known for its AOP soft, washed-rind cheese, one of France's most celebrated varieties, still matured using traditional methods in the area. The village is also home to the Château d'Époisses, a historic manor house listed as a monument historique, surrounded by moats and gardens, reflecting Burgundian seigneurial architecture through the centuries.
