Bleneau

Bleneau is a village in the Yonne department, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, located within the Puisaye natural area, known for its hedgerow landscapes, ponds and woodlands. The village is crossed by the River Loing, a small waterway that shapes the local scenery. This part of the Yonne is characterised by traditional brick and timber-framed buildings typical of the Puisaye, alongside a rural economy still shaped by livestock farming and mixed agriculture. The climate is a degraded oceanic type, with mild summers and cool winters, well suited to outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling and fishing in the many surrounding lakes and ponds.
