Arvier

Arvier is a small municipality in the Aosta Valley, in north-western Italy, set within the heart of the region between sunlit slopes and alpine peaks. This little mountain village retains an authentic character, with traditional hamlets, stone houses and terraced vineyards producing well-regarded local wines, particularly from the Petit Rouge grape variety. The surrounding area is well suited to hiking, with a network of trails linking mountain pastures and offering views over nearby massifs, including the Gran Paradiso. In winter, the proximity of Aosta Valley ski resorts allows for easy access to snow sports, while summer invites exploration of the rural heritage, the region's typical castles and local produce such as Fontina cheese and Valdostana cured meats. Arvier makes a peaceful base for exploring the Aosta Valley, combining unspoilt nature, mountain traditions and local gastronomy, away from the bustle of larger resorts, within an authentic and relaxing alpine setting throughout the year.
