Predazzo

Predazzo is a small town in Trentino, nestled in the Val di Fiemme at the heart of the Italian Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Situated at the confluence of the Avisio and Travignolo rivers, it serves as an excellent base for exploring the Pale di San Martino and the Latemar massif. The town is home to a Geological Museum dedicated to the Dolomites, tracing the formation of these iconic mountains. Predazzo has a long-standing tradition in winter sports, particularly Nordic skiing and ski jumping, with facilities recognised on an international level. Nearby lies the Paneveggio forest, renowned for its resonance spruce wood, historically used in violin-making. In summer, the region draws hikers thanks to an extensive network of trails leading to alpine pastures and surrounding peaks, while winter turns the valley into a haven for alpine and cross-country skiing. The alpine climate, with cold winters and mild summers, shapes both the pace of life and the range of activities on offer throughout the year in this authentic mountain village.
