Piquecos

Piquecos is a village in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, a few kilometres north-west of Montauban, in the Occitanie region. The commune lies within the gently rolling countryside typical of the Bas-Quercy area, amid hillsides and farmland, close to the Garonne and Tarn valleys. The village retains an unspoilt rural character, with its church and château reflecting the local heritage. Thanks to its location, Piquecos makes a convenient base for exploring Montauban, a town of art and history renowned for its central square and the Ingres-Bourdelle museum, as well as Moissac, famous for its abbey listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The surrounding area is also known for its local produce markets, orchards and vineyards, including those of the Côtes du Brulhois appellation. Walkers can enjoy footpaths winding through the nearby countryside, while cyclists will find the undulating terrain of this part of Tarn-et-Garonne particularly rewarding.
