Boudou

Boudou is a small village in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, in the Occitanie region, set on the banks of the River Garonne just a few kilometres from Moissac. This rural setting, between hillsides and river valley, offers a peaceful environment well suited to countryside stays, with landscapes typical of south-western France's farming areas. Nearby Moissac is home to the Abbey of Saint-Pierre and its Romanesque cloister, a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with a well-known market famous for Chasselas de Moissac, a protected-designation table grape grown throughout the area. The Garonne lateral canal, which runs through the area, is ideal for walks or cycling along its towpaths in a tranquil atmosphere. The mild, sunny climate for much of the year encourages outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling or exploring neighbouring villages. Boudou therefore makes a quiet base from which to explore Tarn-et-Garonne, combining Romanesque heritage, local produce and river valley scenery, away from tourist crowds yet within easy reach of the region's key landmarks.
