Parisot

Parisot is a small village in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, in the Occitanie region of south-west France, located in the Quercy area near the border with the Tarn department. The village retains traces of its medieval bastide origins, including an old covered market hall and a traditional arcaded square typical of these fortified towns founded in the Middle Ages. The surrounding countryside is green and rural, shaped by the rolling hills and woodlands of Quercy, ideal for walking and cycling. Parisot is also known for its landscaped lake, popular in summer for swimming, fishing and gentle water-based activities, as well as for relaxed family days out. The area offers an authentic glimpse of south-western French countryside, with scattered hamlets, farms and agricultural landscapes characteristic of Tarn-et-Garonne. The climate is mild, with warm, sunny summers typical of southern France and relatively temperate winters. The village makes a peaceful base from which to explore neighbouring Quercy villages, admired for their stone architecture and rural way of life, in a calm setting away from urban bustle.
