Montpezat de quercy

Montpezat-de-Quercy is a village in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, in the Quercy Blanc area between Cahors and Montauban. Built on a ridge, it retains a characteristic old centre with narrow lanes, timber-framed houses and remnants of arcades reflecting its bastide heritage. Its main landmark is the Collégiale Saint-Martin, a 14th-century Gothic church noted for its 16th-century Flemish tapestries and Renaissance tomb effigies, making it one of the department's notable religious sites. The surrounding countryside offers the gently rolling landscape typical of Quercy, ideal for walking and exploring nearby villages such as Lalbenque, known for its truffle market.
