Larrazet

Larrazet is a small village in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, in the Occitanie region, set within the Lomagne countryside just a few kilometres from Montauban and Beaumont-de-Lomagne. The gently rolling landscape typical of this part of south-western France combines cereal fields, orchards and garlic crops, a well-known local speciality of the Lomagne area. The village retains an unspoilt rural character, with its church and château reflecting its agricultural and manorial past. The stone and brick architecture follows the regional tradition shared with the nearby bastide towns of Tarn-et-Garonne. The mild, sunny climate for much of the year makes it ideal for outdoor pursuits such as country walks, exploring neighbouring villages, or browsing local markets, notably in Beaumont-de-Lomagne, famed for its garlic market and connection to mathematician Pierre de Fermat. Montauban, the department's capital, lies around twenty minutes away and offers shops, a historic pink-brick old town and several museums.
