Brassac

Brassac is a small village in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, located in the Quercy region near Caylus. This rural area in the northern part of the département is characterised by rolling hills, limestone plateaus and wooded valleys, typical of this part of the Occitanie region. The peaceful, largely unspoilt surroundings make it a popular choice for countryside stays, away from the busier tourist routes. The area offers plenty of opportunities for walking along rural paths, revealing the local stone architecture characteristic of Quercy. The wider region is known for its medieval bastide towns and charming villages, as well as for regional specialities such as duck, walnuts and goat's cheese. The climate is a mild oceanic type with warm, dry summers and gentle winters, making outdoor activities possible for much of the year. Brassac provides a quiet base from which to explore Tarn-et-Garonne and the neighbouring Lot and Aveyron départements, within an unspoilt natural setting.
