Montpeyroux

Montpeyroux is a small village in the Aveyron department, in the southern Massif Central, close to the Lot valley and not far from Conques. Recognised as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, it stands out for its characteristic red sandstone architecture, old stone houses and the remains of a castle overlooking the village. Perched on a hillock, Montpeyroux offers open views over the surrounding countryside and the rolling hills of the Aveyron. The village retains an authentic rural character, with farming still present and well-preserved built heritage.
