Canet de salars

Canet-de-Salars is a village in the Aveyron department, in the Occitanie region of southern France, set on the Lévézou plateau. The area is known for its wide open landscapes and temperate climate, with mild summers and cooler winters typical of the Massif Central. The village lies close to Lake Pareloup, one of France's largest man-made lakes, popular for swimming, sailing, canoeing and fishing during the summer months. The surrounding countryside also offers plenty of walking and mountain biking trails through the rolling hills, woodland and pastures of the Lévézou, dotted with traditional stone hamlets.
