Saint-André-de-Najac is a small rural commune in the south of the Aveyron département, in the Occitanie region, located close to the medieval village of Najac, well known for its hilltop fortress overlooking the valley. The area lies within the typical rolling landscape of the Rouergue, featuring limestone plateaus, woodland and small valleys carved by tributaries of the Aveyron river. Settlement here is scattered, with hamlets and stone farmhouses reflecting the traditional rural architecture of the region, alongside a few modest religious buildings typical of local Romanesque heritage.
