Castelnuovo Berardenga

Castelnuovo Berardenga is a town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, situated at the southern edge of the Chianti Classico wine region. The settlement sits on a hilltop overlooking a landscape of vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees typical of the Sienese countryside. The municipality includes several hamlets, among them San Gusmè, a fortified medieval village, and Villa a Sesta, both known for their well-preserved character and small-scale local produce. The local economy relies heavily on winemaking, with numerous estates producing Chianti Classico DOCG, alongside extra virgin olive oil.
