Strada in Chianti

Strada in Chianti is a village within the municipality of Greve in Chianti, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region, between Florence and Siena in Tuscany. This traditional hamlet sits within the rolling landscape typical of the area, characterised by vineyards, olive groves and wooded hills. Its proximity to Florence, roughly twenty kilometres away, makes it a convenient base for exploring the Tuscan capital while enjoying a quieter, rural setting. The village itself retains traditional Tuscan architecture, with stone houses and narrow lanes. The surrounding countryside is well known for Chianti Classico wine production, identified by its black rooster emblem, as well as for local olive oil. Food and wine enthusiasts will find numerous estates in the area offering tastings and cellar visits. The region is also well suited to walking and cycling, thanks to a network of paths linking the various Chianti villages. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, makes the warmer months particularly appealing for outdoor activities and discovering the area's winemaking heritage.
