Mercatale Val di Pesa

Mercatale Val di Pesa is a small hamlet within the municipality of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the province of Florence, at the heart of the Tuscan Chianti region. The village stretches along the Pesa valley, surrounded by hills covered with vineyards and olive groves typical of this wine-growing area renowned for its Chianti and Chianti Classico. The setting is peaceful and rural, making it a convenient base for exploring the famous Chianti wine roads, dotted with estates offering tastings. Its location is particularly advantageous: Florence lies around 20 kilometres to the north, while Siena can be reached in under an hour's drive south, allowing easy access to both of Tuscany's major art cities.
