Fontane Bianche

Fontane Bianche is a coastal locality in south-eastern Sicily, forming part of the municipality of Syracuse, within the province of the same name. It is best known for its fine sandy beach set within a small sheltered bay, appreciated for its shallow, calm waters, making it a popular choice for families during the summer season. The surrounding area retains a relatively natural character, with patches of dunes and typical Mediterranean vegetation. Syracuse itself lies around fifteen kilometres away, offering easy access to the historic centre of Ortigia, its ancient monuments and lively market. The nearby village of Cassibile also provides a glimpse of a more rural setting. The region is well regarded for its Sicilian cuisine, particularly seafood, citrus fruits and local wines. The Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers and mild winters, supports a seaside tourism season running from May to September.
