Monastero Bormida

Monastero Bormida is a small town in Piedmont, in the province of Asti, Italy, set along the Bormida river from which it takes its name. The village lies within the rolling landscape of the Langhe and Monferrato area, a region renowned for its UNESCO-listed vineyards and wine production, including Barbera and Moscato. The town retains a medieval castle, the Castello di Monastero Bormida, a reminder of its feudal past, along with a historic centre typical of Piedmontese villages, with narrow lanes and stone buildings.
