Rocca d'Arazzo

Rocca d'Arazzo is a small village in the province of Asti, Piedmont, set amid the rolling hills of the Monferrato. The village is overlooked by a medieval castle that rises above the tiled rooftops and surrounding vineyards, a familiar sight in this wine-growing region. Rocca d'Arazzo lies within the production area of Barbera d'Asti, one of Piedmont's most celebrated red wines, and the surrounding hillsides form part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont. The countryside is well suited to walking or cycling among vineyards, farmsteads and small hamlets. The town of Asti, around fifteen minutes away by car, offers richer historical interest, with its medieval towers and lively market. Local gastronomy showcases traditional Piedmontese dishes such as agnolotti pasta, bollito misto, regional cheeses and, in season, truffles. The continental climate, with warm, dry summers and cool winters, makes the area well suited to stays focused on wine tourism, countryside walks and rural dining.
