Ferrere

Ferrere is a small locality in the province of Asti, in Piedmont, set within the rolling hills typical of the Monferrato astigiano area. The surrounding region is known for its vineyard-covered hillsides, part of the wider Piedmontese wine-growing heritage recognised by UNESCO in the neighbouring Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas. The climate is continental, with warm, dry summers and cooler winters, ideal conditions for vine cultivation and the production of local wines such as Barbera and Moscato. The area remains largely rural and sparsely built up, offering a peaceful setting well suited to countryside breaks, walking and exploring nearby villages.
