Bossolasco

Bossolasco is a small village in Piedmont, located in the Langhe, a hilly region in the south-east of the province of Cuneo, renowned for its vineyards which form part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nicknamed the 'village of roses', Bossolasco is known for its abundant rose bushes adorning streets, low walls and house façades during the warmer months. Perched on a hillside, the village offers wide-reaching views over surrounding hills planted with vines and hazelnut trees. The architecture is typical of the Langhe, featuring stone houses and narrow lanes ideal for a leisurely stroll. The surrounding area is celebrated for its wines, including Barolo, Barbaresco and Dolcetto, as well as for the white truffle of Alba, harvested in autumn. Nearby countryside is well suited to walking and cycling through vineyards and neighbouring villages such as Alba and Barolo. The climate is continental, with warm summers and cool winters, often accompanied by the morning mists characteristic of the Langhe. Bossolasco makes for a peaceful base from which to explore this wine-producing and gastronomic region of Piedmont.
