Alba

Alba is a town in Piedmont, in the province of Cuneo, at the heart of the Langhe, a wine-producing region listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is known for its medieval towers, remnants of its rich past, as well as its historic centre where Romanesque buildings blend with Renaissance architecture. Alba is also world-renowned for its white truffle, celebrated each autumn during a fair that draws food lovers and visitors alike. The surrounding countryside features rolling hills covered in vineyards, producing prestigious wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco, making the region a favoured destination for wine tourism.
