Terni

Terni, in Umbria, is a historic and industrial city once known as the 'city of steel' for its significant 20th-century steelworks. It is also renowned as the birthplace of Saint Valentine, patron saint of lovers, whose relics rest in the basilica dedicated to him, a popular pilgrimage site. The historic centre retains Roman remains, including an amphitheatre, along with medieval churches such as the Duomo.
