Tirrenia

Tirrenia is a seaside resort on the Tuscan coast, part of the municipality of Pisa, Italy. It stretches along the Tyrrhenian Sea, just a few kilometres from Pisa's historic centre and its famous Leaning Tower. The town is bordered by an extensive pine forest linking it to the San Rossore, Migliarino and Massaciuccoli regional nature park, a protected area ideal for walking, cycling and spotting local wildlife. Fine sandy beaches, largely organised into private beach clubs in the traditional Tuscan style, alternate with a few stretches of free public shoreline. Tirrenia was also known during the 20th century for its film studios, which, while less active today, remain part of the local landscape. The resort enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers, making it well suited to seaside holidays from May to September. Nearby, Marina di Pisa and Livorno offer further options for day trips, while Pisa itself is easily reached for a visit to the Piazza dei Miracoli.
