Varigotti

Varigotti is a small coastal village on the Western Ligurian Riviera, in the province of Savona, forming part of the municipality of Finale Ligure. It is known for its calm, clear-watered bay, lined with a sandy and pebbled beach, and for the rocky headland that encloses the bay and offers a scenic vantage point over the sea. The heart of the village is notable for its brightly coloured houses, built in a style often described as Saracen, set along the narrow lanes typical of Ligurian villages. The area lies close to Finale Ligure, a livelier resort town, and to Noli, another medieval coastal village, making it easy to combine several visits in a single day. The surrounding hills offer walking trails with sea views, while the clear waters are well suited to diving and snorkelling. Local cuisine highlights seafood alongside classic Ligurian specialities such as pesto and focaccia. The Mediterranean climate brings warm, dry summers, making the period from May to September ideal for a seaside stay.
