Casale Corte Cerro

Casale Corte Cerro is a municipality in Piedmont, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, set between Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore. Built across hillside terrain, several of its hamlets, such as Cireggio, offer open views over Lake Orta and the surrounding hills. Its location makes it a convenient base for exploring the wider lakes district, including nearby Omegna, known for its industrial craftsmanship, as well as Verbania and Stresa further north. The rolling landscape, dotted with woodland and small agricultural plots, is well suited to walking and cycling, with access towards Mottarone, the peak overlooking both lakes. The climate is mild, tempered by the nearby bodies of water, with gentle summers and comparatively soft winters for this alpine region. The area remains largely residential and rural, set apart from the busier lakeside resorts, making it well suited to a quiet stay centred on nature and the landscapes of northern Piedmont.
