Vidauban

Vidauban is a town in the Var department, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, set in the Argens valley between the Maures massif and the foothills of inland Provence. The village enjoys a Mediterranean climate and lies around thirty minutes from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Var coastline. The area is known for its wine production, with Vidauban lying along the Côtes de Provence wine route and numerous vineyards to explore nearby. The town also has a well-regarded golf course, appreciated for its tree-lined setting and challenging layout. Easy access is provided by the nearby A8 motorway, linking Vidauban conveniently to Aix-en-Provence, Toulon and Fréjus. The old town centre retains a typically Provençal character, with narrow streets and a traditional market. The surrounding countryside offers walking opportunities in the Maures massif, as well as day trips to neighbouring villages such as Les Arcs-sur-Argens or Le Luc. Vidauban therefore makes a practical base for discovering both the Var hinterland and the Mediterranean coast.
