Solliès-Pont

Solliès-Pont is a town in the Var department, located in the Gapeau valley around fifteen kilometres north-east of Toulon. It is particularly known for its fig production, the renowned Solliès fig, grown in the surrounding orchards and holding nationally recognised protected status. The town centre retains a typical Provençal character, with narrow streets, shaded squares and a market offering local Var produce. The area is surrounded by hills and agricultural landscapes, making it well suited to walks and countryside exploration. Its proximity to Toulon and the Mediterranean makes it a convenient base for discovering the Var coastline, nearby beaches, and natural areas such as the Massif des Maures or Sainte-Baume. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, supports outdoor activities for much of the year.
