Sizun

Sizun is a village in Finistère, located within the Armorique Regional Nature Park, close to the Monts d'Arrée. It is known for its Breton parish close, featuring a triumphal gateway and church, typical of the religious architecture found in the region during the 16th and 17th centuries. The village retains an authentic rural character, with traditional stone houses and a peaceful atmosphere well suited to nature-focused stays. The Maison de la Rivière, based in Sizun, offers insight into the aquatic ecosystem and salmon, linked to the River Elorn which flows through the area. The surrounding countryside provides plenty of opportunities for walking, particularly towards the ridges of the Monts d'Arrée and their distinctive moorland landscapes typical of central Finistère.
