San Baronto

San Baronto is a hillside hamlet within the municipality of Lamporecchio, in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany. Sitting at around 350 metres above sea level, it commands broad views over the Valdinievole valley and surrounding countryside, making it a notable vantage point for those drawn to Tuscan landscapes. The area is dotted with olive groves and vineyards typical of this part of Tuscany, and several farmhouses and agriturismi in the vicinity produce local olive oil and wine. San Baronto serves as a convenient base for exploring nearby towns such as Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, Montecatini Terme, known for its spa waters, as well as Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa and Florence, all within roughly an hour's drive.
