Pontassieve

Pontassieve is a small town in Tuscany, Italy (postcode 50065), located around fifteen kilometres east of Florence, at the confluence of the Arno and Sieve rivers. This geographical position has historically made it an important crossroads and railway junction on the line connecting Florence to Arezzo and the Casentino area. The town sits within the rolling landscape typical of the Chianti Rufina area, well known for its wine production, particularly Chianti Rufina DOCG, as well as for olive oil.
