St-Pair-sur-Mer

Saint-Pair-sur-Mer is a seaside town in the Manche department of Normandy, situated on the western coast of the Cotentin peninsula, right next to Granville. The area is known for its fine sandy beach lined with a promenade, ideal for walking and safe swimming during the season. The seafront still features a number of early 20th-century villas, reflecting the town's long-standing appeal as a holiday destination. The town centre offers shops, restaurants and a market that bring life to the area, particularly in summer. The surrounding coastline provides scope for walking along footpaths linking small coves and rocky headlands typical of this part of Normandy. Being close to Granville, visitors can easily reach its marina, casino and ferry connections to the Chausey Islands. Mont-Saint-Michel, less than an hour's drive away, makes for a popular day trip from Saint-Pair-sur-Mer. The area enjoys a temperate oceanic climate, with mild summers and relatively gentle winters, making it suitable for visits throughout the year, though the town is busiest during the summer months.
