Larciano

Larciano is a small town in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany, set among the hills of the Valdinievole area. The village is overlooked by its medieval castle, the Rocca di Larciano, a reminder of its fortified past when it controlled access routes into the valley. The surrounding countryside, typical of rural Tuscany, combines olive groves, vineyards and woodland, making it a pleasant setting for walking and hiking. Larciano lies close to Montecatini Terme, a well-known spa town, as well as Pistoia and Lucca, both easily reached for day trips steeped in culture and history. Local cuisine draws on classic Tuscan produce, particularly extra virgin olive oil and regional wines.
