Lido di Spina

Lido di Spina is a seaside resort on the Adriatic coast, in the province of Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna. It is one of the seven so-called "Lidi di Comacchio", a string of coastal resorts set along a wide stretch of fine sandy beach, backed by pine woods typical of this part of the Po Delta. The beach, generally well equipped with numerous bathing establishments offering sunbed and parasol hire, stretches for several kilometres and is particularly suited to families thanks to its gentle slope and shallow waters. The town benefits from its proximity to the Po Delta Regional Park, ideal for cycling trips, birdwatching and boat rides through the surrounding wetlands and lagoons, notably the Valli di Comacchio, known for local eel. The seafront is lined with restaurants, bars and shops that are especially lively during the summer season, while nearby you'll find easy access to Comacchio, a town noted for its distinctive canals, and to Ferrara, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The climate is a mild Mediterranean type, with warm, sunny summers well suited to classic seaside holidays.
