Lido di Dante

Lido di Dante is a small seaside locality on the Ravenna coast in Emilia-Romagna, situated at the mouth of the Bevano river, south of Ravenna. It stands out for its unspoilt natural setting, forming part of the Po Delta Regional Park, with a sandy beach lined by dunes and a pine forest offering shade and walking trails. Less built-up than neighbouring resorts such as Marina di Ravenna or Lido di Classe, it appeals to those keen on nature walks, cycling and birdwatching in the surrounding wetlands. The coastline alternates between free beach areas and a few simple beach establishments, creating a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere. Ravenna itself, around fifteen kilometres away, is easily reached and home to UNESCO World Heritage early Christian monuments, including the mosaics of the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia. The region enjoys a temperate Mediterranean climate, with warm summers ideal for swimming and mild spring and autumn seasons well suited to outdoor pursuits.
