St-Coulomb

Saint-Coulomb is a coastal village on the Emerald Coast in Ille-et-Vilaine, nestled between Cancale and Saint-Malo. Its landscape combines a jagged shoreline dotted with coves and beaches, such as Guesclin and Chevrets, with a rural hinterland known for traditional market gardening, the area being noted for its open-field vegetable production. The village's name is closely tied to the rocky islet of Guesclin, reachable on foot at low tide, which holds the remains of a château. Its proximity to Cancale, famous for oyster farming, and Saint-Malo, with its historic ramparts and port, makes it easy to combine coastal walks with heritage visits.
