Robion

Robion is a village in the Vaucluse department, nestled in the Luberon region just a few kilometres from Cavaillon and close to Gordes, Ménerbes and l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Set against the southern slopes of the Petit Luberon, it enjoys a quintessentially Provençal setting amid olive groves, orchards and vineyards. The Mediterranean climate, hot and dry in summer and mild in winter, makes it well suited to outdoor pursuits year-round, particularly walking and cycling along the many trails of the Luberon massif. The village retains an authentic character, with old narrow streets, fountains and a parish church, offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the busier tourist spots nearby. The surrounding countryside is known for its agricultural produce, including the famous Cavaillon melons and other market garden crops from the Comtat Venaissin. Robion makes a convenient base for exploring the Luberon's hilltop villages, traditional Provençal markets and the lavender fields and vineyards for which the region is renowned. Its central location also allows easy access to Avignon, l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and the natural sites of the regional park.
